Carlos Esteban Picornell, born in Palma de Mallorca, has developed a great passion for music from he was very young studying and playing guitar and piano. When he was a teenager, he became a collector of vinyl records and started to share his personal music taste working as a DJ. But, probably he is more known as a music producer as he usually appears on the top-rankings published by beatport.com. He has published in music labels such as Illegal Alien, Underscore, DarkSide Black, Plaza In Crowd and, of course, Simplex Records.

As you may or may not know, The Spaceship is a electronic music group coming from the principal port of the  former Soviet Union. Odessa is the largest city of the Dead Sea coast and for its location and the population has become the main trading area of Ukraine.

Not to say that the city is the sole inspiration for these three young artists, but I am sure that the openness of the people and the proximity of the sea makes it a suitable meeting place where musical communion occurs, not only with friends and family, but also with the sky and the stars… Thats why The Spaceship! sounds so deep and fresh.

Theese boys have recorded an hour and a half of their sounds and favorite tracks. This is the tracklist… Hope you enjoy!

Tal vez ya los conozcas o tal vez no… pero The Spaceship es un grupo de música electrónica procedente del principal puerto de la antigua Unión Soviética. Odessa es la ciudad más grande de la costa del Mar Muerto y por su ubicación y su población se ha convertido en la principal zona comercial de Ucrania.

No quiero decir que la ciudad sea la única inspiración de estos tres jóvenes artistas, pero estoy seguro de que la apertura de la gente y la proximidad del mar hace que sea un lugar de reunión adecuado, donde la comunión musical se produce no sólo con amigos y familiares, sino también con el cielo y las estrellas … Es por eso que The Spaceship! suenan tan profundos y frescos.

Estos muchachos han grabado una hora y media de sus sonidos y pistas favoritas. Esta es la lista de canciones … Espero que lo disfruten!

ASR was asked to assemble a podcast. He came up with a plus 2 hour program of tracks that influenced him somehow. All this music is non electronic and goes back to the time he was a 12 year kid.

Born in Belgium, started his love for music at the early age of 4. Discovering little by little what frequencies could do with the body-mind symbiosis, he evolved to become a synth- and bassplayer in several blues, funk & psycho rock projects. Influenced by the great vibes from the Delta, from the African woods, the cities of Rajasthan & the seatowns of Bali. The cadanz has  still the same mother.

ASR is a solo-project where no compromises are made. Free & impulsive, pure & direct.
As a live act, ASR drives it even deeper, based on his resolute relation with the multiverse. Ready for every moment on the floor, ASR enjoys the true fact of action/interaction with the audience.

Everything is energy. Everything is vibration. Everything resonates.  So it does everywhere & always.

Le pedimos  a ASR que preparara un podcast para Simplex y nos ha regalado esta sesión de más de dos horas con las pistas y sonidos que le han influido de alguna manera. No todo es música electrónica y se remonta a la época en la que era un niño con 12 años.

Nacido en Bélgica comenzó su amor por la música a la temprana edad de los 4 años. Descubriendo poco a poco las frecuencias que podían hacer la simbiosis cuerpo-mente, evolucionó hasta convertirse en sintetista y bajista de varios proyectos de Blues, Funk y Psycho Rock. Influenciado por las buenas vibraciones del Delta, los bosques africanos, las ciudades de Rajasthan y la costa de Bali.

ASR es un proyecto en solitario sin compromisos, libre e impulsivo, puro y directo. En su directo, ASR conduce incluso más profundo, basado en su resuelta relación con el multiverso. Preparado para todo momento en la pista, ASR disfruta  el hecho real de la acción/interacción con la audiencia.

Todo es energía, todo es vibración. Todo resuena. Así se hace en todos sitios para siempre.

ODE113 is an up-to-date techno duo from southern Spain. Its members, Mutech and Enoq, are the main responsible for all the steps carried out by Simplex, so there may be not a better way to introduce these new monthly podcasts.

Spinning the technics decks and mixing a selection of label tracks, the result is a tour through the most representative label’s sounds, with deep, minimal and techno passages, as well as underground and groovie Simplex’ feelings. ODE113 es un dúo de techno moderno afincado en el sur de España. Sus miembros Mutech y Enoq, son los principales responsables de todo lo que sucede en Simplex, por lo que no se nos ocurría una mejor forma de presentar esta nueva serie mensual de podcasts.

Ambos individuos se han puesto delante de los platos technics y han mezclado una selección de temas del sello, en la que se hace un recorrido muy representativo del sonido del mismo, con pasajes deep, minimal, techno… todo envuelto con el toque underground y groovie propio de la casa. En ella podrás encontrar algunos tracks originales y remixes aún no editados, que verán la luz en formato 12” y digital en los próximos meses. Esperamos disfrutes de nuestro primer capítulo.
